Jon is a Director of Barr Gazetas, an energetic architecture practice reputed for its diverse portfolio, design quality and genuinely collaborative approach.
At Barr Gazetas Jon has directed a range of projects including a progressive co-working complex in the heart of Camden called Interchange, high profile commercial schemes at Battersea Studios and St. James’, and the regeneration of Greenwich Town Centre, to be completed this year. Jon most recently led the design of the multi-award winning 7 Air Street for The Crown Estate. The project won the BREEAM Office prize 2014, and ‘Best in sector’ at Ecobuild 2014. He is also currently part of the team delivering the Royal Academy transformation designed by David Chipperfield. Through Jon’s leadership, Barr Gazetas is acting as executive architect and quality champion.
Amongst other strengths, Jon’s expertise lies in design sustainability. He recently judged the WAN Awards for the Sustainability category and has given talks on office design, sustainability and retrofit at Ecobuild, for The Crown Estate, Regus and NLA.
Jon is an active member of the UKGBC, BCO, WPA, CPA and The London Society.
